In 2007 the Southern Maryland Community Gospel Choir originated from an idea that a local pastor had about bringing the community together. Since that time, the choir has grown to include many voices from many different backgrounds. The choir currently performs at numerous events throughout the Southern Maryland community including church functions, choir anniversaries, food bank and hospice programs, and many more.
